Meaglin's and Eöl's portions were both exactly 50 words. It was a fun challenge getting them to equal out that way. :)

In his mother’s arms was comfort, and nothing plagued Maeglin’s heart. But once his father enters the room, he is haplessly thrown out and the door slammed shut before his face. And sitting there listening to his parents’ soft moans, young Maeglin is consumed with hot hatred for his father.

Eöl wished to believe that Aredhel loved him still, but over the years her attention was given more to Maeglin. Together they grew weary of the forest, and Eöl’s stomach twisted whenever Aredhel smiled at her darling son as they spoke of a world to which Eöl did not belong.
