Such a thing had never been seen by most people of Rohan. Éowyn would not have known this horrible contraption existed had she never explored so deep into the dungeon of Meduseld while seeking some way to hide from Gríma.

The machine was large in size and made of metal. Éowyn thought it to be a torture machine of some sort, for there was a flat surface that protruded from the machine. It looked to be where a body can be laid upon and strapped down. Metal cuffs to be wrapped around each wrist were located far above the head. She walked around the machine to take a better look of each angle, wondering where the cuffs for the feet were located, and she got her answer soon enough. She had to cringe, but it was not because another pair of cuffs were located far above the flat surface. It was the long rod located at the end that brought upon the reaction from her.

The road was shaped and coated in paint resembling a certain anatomical part she had only seen once in her life, and in that one time she had not wished to see it, much less feel it against her skin.

Éowyn turned her head sideways, trying to imagine how everything would look if one were to be stretched on it. The legs would be spread wide and far from the body, giving the metal rod a clear access to the vulnerable body.

She shivered. Was this machine meant to torture men or women? She could lie down and imagine where it would fit, but the thought of being anywhere near objects that resembled the man’s organ frightened her with memories of...

Getting onto her knees, Éowyn examined the rod closer. “How will this work?” she wondered to herself. Behind the rod was a longer thinner rod that came out of the machine’s main body. This rod looked like it could slide in and out of the machine. It was then that she noticed a cylinder container near the top of the machine; its top was open. She peered inside and immediately realized what this gadget needed to work.

After finding some water, she ran back to the chamber. She tipped the contents of the jug into the cylinder, and instantly with a deafening loud screech of metal on metal the machine came to life. Éowyn watched in horror, holding her breath, as the rod moved in a fast rhythm back and forth. The sight before her brought back memories she wished to forever forget. With a loud gasp she stepped back, covering her face in her hands, her body shaking.

When the machine ran out of water to use for fuel, it came to a screeching halt, leaving behind a ringing silence. Éowyn peered through her fingers at the machine, standing there so innocently, the tip of the rod shining mockingly at her. Hesitantly she slowly approached the machine again.

What a disgusting thing this was, she decided. A cold machine that could harm the victim, rip them apart till they were an inch from death. And it could go on forever, so long as water was supplied, and it would continue to violate its victim, taking no heed to any begs of mercy.

And Éowyn did not know that she was smiling, a smile not like the ones the fair woman was known to wear among the people she loved. This smile was as cold as the machine itself. In her mind she could see her own attacker, Gríma, shrieking for her to stop as the machine continually ripped into him.

Giving the machine a final glance, Éowyn left the chamber, and with her she carried the beginnings of a plan for her revenge.
